He holds a Doctor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) from Universidade de Fortaleza and a Master of Science in Cardiovascular Pharmacology from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, where his research focused on vascular damage and interferon-stimulated gene expression. His diverse clinical experience spans roles in both Brazil and the UK, including positions as a Junior Clinical Fellow in Acute Medicine at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and a Clinical Attachment Doctor in Cardiology at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

With a strong foundation in evidence-based medicine and systematic reviews, Dr. Navarro is currently engaged in research at the University of Central Lancashire, further advancing his expertise in meta-analysis and clinical pharmacology. His background in general practice, emergency medicine, and healthcare system regulation has provided him with a comprehensive understanding of patient care across different healthcare settings. Dr. Veronique Griffith, MD, PhD

Veronique GriffithDr. Veronique Griffith is a medical doctor, anthropologist, and public health expert specializing in women’s health, chronic disease, and health equity. She holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Yale School of Medicine and a PhD in Medical Anthropology from Durham University, where her research explored women’s experiences with endometriosis and the systemic barriers to timely diagnosis. Currently a Lecturer in Healthcare Sciences at the University of Manchester, she teaches public health, health protection, applied epidemiology, and participatory research methodologies. Her academic work focuses on how health technologies influence clinical practice, the fluidity of diagnostic categories, and disparities in access to care, particularly for women and minority populations.

Dr. Griffith has held research and teaching positions at King’s College London and the University of Edinburgh’s Usher Institute, contributing to policy discussions on reproductive health and healthcare inequalities. Dr. Tara Breslin, GP

She earned her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Manchester and has further specialized with MRCGP certification from the Royal College of General Practitioners. Her additional qualifications include a Diploma in Sexual and Reproductive Health from the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health and a Diploma from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, reflecting her expertise in women’s health and reproductive care. Dr. Breslin also holds a Master of Science in Leadership and Service Improvement from Alliance Manchester Business School, highlighting her dedication to healthcare innovation and patient-centered service development.

With over a decade of experience in primary care, Dr. Breslin has worked as a salaried GP at Barlow Medical Centre and held clinical leadership roles, including CCG Clinical Lead for Pathway Development at NHS Bolton. Her work spans general practice, maternity care, and service improvement, making her a key advocate for enhancing patient access and care pathways. Her expertise at HFS Pharmacy plays a key role in clinical oversight, patient education, and advancing accessible, evidence-based healthcare services.

Vince Lu, MPharm

Vince LuVince Lu is a dedicated pharmacist manager with a passion for patient care, medication safety, and pharmacy operations. Born and raised in Canada, he took the opportunity to study abroad, earning a Master’s in Pharmacy from Keele University in the UK. His time in the UK not only shaped his clinical expertise but also strengthened his work ethic, independence, and ability to adapt to new challenges. He completed his pre-registration training at The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust, where he gained hands-on experience in hospital pharmacy, clinical checks, and patient counseling before registering as a pharmacist in the UK.

Vince’s career spans both hospital and community pharmacy, with a strong focus on improving patient outcomes and optimizing pharmacy performance. As a Relief Pharmacist Manager at Well Pharmacy, he specialized in troubleshooting crisis branches, enhancing workflow efficiency, and ensuring high patient safety standards. His ability to identify issues, implement solutions, and support pharmacy teams has made a lasting impact in every role he has taken on. With experience in both retail and hospital settings, along with a deep appreciation for collaboration and innovation, he continues to bring a problem-solving mindset to the ever-evolving world of pharmacy.

Mike Williams, BSc Pharm

Mike WilliamsMike Williams is a seasoned pharmacist and business owner with over 40 years of experience in community pharmacy and retail management. He earned his Pharmacy degree from Brighton Polytechnic in 1975 and trained with Boots in Leeds. He later managed independent pharmacies before opening his own in Leeds and Manchester. Over the years, he built and ran successful businesses, handling customer care, stock management, and business operations. In 2010, he expanded with a second pharmacy, which he co-owned until selling in 2023.

Now, Mike brings his expertise in pharmacy operations and patient care to our pharmacy. His strong background in business strategy and retail pharmacy helps ensure smooth daily operations. Outside of work, he has been active in community sports and leadership roles, serving as a junior football administrator, cricket team manager, and trustee. With decades of experience, he remains focused on high-quality patient service and efficient pharmacy management.

Onna Murtagh, MPharm

Onna MurtaghOnna Murtagh is a pharmacist with a strong foundation in community pharmacy, patient care, and medication management. She earned her Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) from the University of Manchester, where she developed expertise in dispensing, clinical checks, and pharmaceutical care. Her passion for pharmacy began early while working at Murtagh’s Life Pharmacy, where she shadowed pharmacists and technicians, gaining hands-on experience in prescription dispensing and patient counseling.

She has worked in community pharmacy settings, including High Street Pharmacy, where she handled dispensing, over-the-counter sales, and patient queries while becoming proficient in Pro-script and Titan software. Her background also includes retail experience, which strengthened her customer service skills and ability to adapt to changing environments. Now, as a pharmacist in HFS, she does her best to ensure safe and effective medication use while providing support and guidance to patients.

Zubair Sharif, MPharm

Zubair SharifZubair Sharif is a highly experienced pharmacist and leader with a strong background in multi-site management, pharmacy operations, and clinical services. He holds a Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) from the University of Bradford and has worked across community, hospital, and online pharmacy settings. His career began with a pre-registration placement at Macclesfield District General Hospital, followed by roles in community pharmacy, clinical services, and healthcare consultancy. Over the years, he has gained expertise in pharmacy benefit management, shared services, and pharmacovigilance, ensuring high standards of patient safety and medication management.

Zubair has held leadership roles in major pharmacy chains, including LloydsPharmacy, where he progressed from pharmacist and team leader to area manager, overseeing operations across multiple sites. He later served as a clinical pharmacist at Interface Clinical Services, providing specialized pharmaceutical care. His experience as a director at Pinnacle Healthcare Consultancy and area manager at Helping Hands Homecare highlights his strategic mindset and ability to improve pharmacy services at scale. With a passion for team building and healthcare innovation, he continues to apply his knowledge to enhancing patient care and pharmacy efficiency.
